Scranton is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Scranton peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

They place smells horrible the food looks gross and they don't help you with food or anything. They have only one person working there who doesn't seem to care, we should be encouraging the homeless to use better hygiene so they can get jobs to get off the streets to better themselves. It's just a NeverEnding cycle!

Iβm not happy at all with their serviceβ¦I was a lackawanna county resident years ago, left state for a little bit,and came back to find I had to have a pa id and have been a resident recently for six months in order to get help.THIS SHOULD BE LISTED EVERYWHERE AND TOLD OVER THE PHONE SO PEOPLE DONT END UP IN THE COLD.I came there under the impression I could get in and was kicked to the curb.So if youβre looking for shelter not being a county resident,AVOID AT ALL COSTS.This should be listed everywhere.

I found this place in one of the most difficult times in my life. Never having been through it nor ever considering it could happen. I called and Eileen answered and help me so much. When I got there they were extremely helpful and kind. Thereβs not a soul that works there that doesnβt do what ever they can for you. I am truly grateful for this place and I would recommend this place a million times over. A warm safe place, Food and restrooms. Program information.

Staff very disrespectful. Melissa is nasty. Very rude. All she does is complain. They offer food with mold on it, expired milk and a warm place when intervention means intervening in someone's life. They should have an intake then offer them counseling point them in right direction and REQUIRE job search with proof. She kept disconnecting internet while I was there when I was only one looking for a job not on Facebook and YouTube. It's like the only way to keep their job is to keep you homeless. Cause without homeless people their would be no need for a center. So they welcome the addicts the dealers and people unwilling to change and dislike the ones who are willing. But hey I get it. You need a paycheck.

Every staff member at CIC is filled with compassion and concern for your well being and future. All the tools are available there for you to repair any crisis you may be facing. They literally saved and changed my life to be the best it has been in a very long time. I cant say enough about the professionalism, resources and genuine desire they all possess to help other's in need. And to think they do this consistently, on a daily basis. Is such an un-selfish act. If your serious about getting your life back on track? Then your definitely on the right website....

Great place for the homeless to hang out with there friends You can shower, wash clothes, eat, coffee all day long . There are RACISTS I have be humiliated omg. I'm puertorican and they hire me but I couldn't spoke my language with Latino clients. There she's is Michelle coming from her office straight to where Latinos are sitting and she knocked out the table at the same time saying English English English and I have to explain the clients she doesn't want people talking Spanish and you know how we feel , that hurts me so much and this happens and I explain the boss what she's doing and didn't stop her so I have to give up my roots because she said no English! Very sad and disrespectful !
